Hi everyone, it’s Rika.
In my report, I have been focusing on how our students are living on campus in NZ. But this time, I would like to talk about the career paths of Japanese students at IPU New Zealand.
みなさんこんにちは、李歌です。
今まで私のページでは私たち学生がどのようなキャンパスライフを送っているのかということを中心に書いてきました。
今回のレポートはIPU New Zealandに通う日本人学生の進路についてお話したいと思います。
I think many students around me wish to return to Japan and find a job in Japan. Also, many of our graduating seniors are working in Japan. On this point, although IPU is a university in New Zealand, students can receive support for job hunting in Japan. I feel that IPU’s support is very generous compared to that of Japanese universities.
周囲の学生を見ていると、日本に帰国して日本で就職を希望している学生が多い印象を受けます。
また、卒業した先輩方の多くは日本で就職しています。
その点、IPUはニュージーランドにある大学ですが、学生は日本での就職活動のサポートを受けることができます。
IPUの就活サポートは日本の大学に比べ非常に手厚いものだと感じています。
There are some students who want to go overseas using their working holiday visa after graduation to get more opportunities.
また、卒業後ワーキングホリデービザを使用して海外に行ってより多くの学びを得たいと考えている学生もいます。
I aim to work overseas in the future. I am going to graduate this December, and now I am staying in Japan until March, so I am using this time for job hunting that I can do in Japan. Students like me who want to get a job abroad can also get support from IPU. I have also been supported by email communication or interviews with them. I hope to be able to update you on the job-hunting situation in future reports.
私は将来的に日本で就職することよりも、海外で働くことを目標にしています。
この12月に卒業予定ですが、夏学期は授業を取らず日本に帰国しています。
3月まで日本に滞在するので、この期間に日本でできる就職活動をしています。
私のように海外で仕事を得たいと考えている学生も、大学側からのサポートを得ることができます。
私もメールでやり取りをしたり、面談したりと支えていただいています。
今後のレポートで就活状況についてアップデートできたらと考えています。
