The annual IPU New Zealand Japanese speech contest was held today.
The eight students who progressed through the qualifying rounds in each class presented their speeches in front of an audience and judges. The winner of this year’s contest was Andrea Sevilla, who gave an inspiring speech titled “My roots and family history”.
She will apply for the JSANZ (Japanese Studies Aotearoa New Zealand) Tertiary Japanese Language Speech contest as the IPU New Zealand representative. We wish Andrea the best of luck!
先日、2021年度IPU New Zealand日本語スピーチコンテストが開催されました☆
緊張の面持ちで聴衆と審査員の前に立ったのは、予選を勝ち抜いた各クラス代表の8名の学生達。
それぞれが練習の成果を発揮し、思いやメッセージを込め聴衆に語りかける姿が印象的でした。
今回優勝したのは「私のルーツと家族史」をテーマに感動的なスピーチを披露したアンドレア・セビラさん。アンドレアさんは本学代表としてJSANZ (Japanese Studies Aotearoa New Zealand) スピーチコンテストに出場予定です！
IPU New Zealandには、Japanese Studies Majorがあり、日本に興味を持っている学生がたくさんいます！
